It was recently announced that James Rolfe wouldn't be on the Cinemassacre Podcast for the next couple of weeks. This has a lot of people speculating...does this mean he's done appearing on the podcast? It's really hard to say.
A lot of people are saying they saw this coming. Because in a lot of people's minds, James never really seemed that "into" the podcast. People say he kind of seemed "checked out" mentally. Or that it seemed like he didn't want to be there.
DOES JAMES ENJOY THE PODCAST?
There are times when it seems like James is off in his own world or something.
It's hard to get a good read on him sometimes.
But people are saying that Screenwave is just slowly taking over Cinemassacre and phasing James out. I can't say if that's true or not.
But one thing's for sure, we wouldn't have an AVGN without James. You just can't do that show without him..he's the main character. It seems like James has a lot on his plate for sure.
Supposedly he's stopping the podcast because he wants to focus on producing the AVGN episodes.
If that's true, that's a smart move for him, in my opinion. I've been saying he should do that for a long time. I think he just tries to juggle too many things. Humans can only handle so much workload.
UPDATE 2023:
Since the time of writing this blog post, the podcast has been canceled and is no longer having new episodes on Youtube, or anywhere else. I guess they had their reasons for canceling it, and to be honest, I didn't really watch it that much, but I think they should have stuck it out longer and seen what became of it.
A lot of podcasters seem to start and quit soon after. Most people want to be like Joe Rogan, but they give up too quickly.
WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS?
Do you guys wish the podcast was still going? I just want to hear some general thoughts in the comments. Some people didn't care for the show, but some people probably loved it and would like to see it return.
It is sad to me that they didn't stick with it longer.
